Guest Professor Dr. Benjamin Amakye‑Boateng Enriches the IfM with African Choral Music Mittwoch, 22. April 2026
From 7 April to 17 May the Ghanaian music scholar will teach at the Institute for Music. His focus on traditional African choral music, rhythm and music & identity offers students fresh intercultural perspectives.
Guest-professor Dr Benjamin Amakye-Boateng is visiting Professor at IfM from April 7th to May 17th, and we are very happy to have him with us and to be able to benefit from his expertise.
Ben is a professor at the Department of Music of the University of Ghana, where he teaches composition, choir, musicology and does research. We are especially happy, that our students will get to learn from his knowledge in traditional african choir music, rhythm and music & identity.
