We invite you and your students for a three week stay in Germany. There will be a one-week field trip to historical European cities and two weeks of lectures and projects at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.
During the project weeks students will work together on a project in small groups. The task is to find a technical solution for a landscape construction project. For the project, the students will get a draft from a recognized landscape architecture office. This draft will be worked on within the context of construction documentation up to the preparation of the bidding procedure. The students will compare the different approaches to a solution from the perspectives of German and American cultural regions and try to find a solution together.
The goal for the students is to learn about historical landscape architecture in Europe and to develop an understanding of the construction and the building management beyond the national standards. Study trips (e.g. Zurich) and cultural events complete the program.
