International Staff Week
We are pleased to invite you to the Erasmus International Staff Week 2026 in Osnabrück!
This year's theme is: Welcoming Students Across Borders: What Can We Learn From Each Other?
At his staff week, administrative staff from international partner universities are invited to spend a week of networking and sharing expertise with colleagues. We especially address staff members who support incoming international students (International Offices/Welcome Centers/Student Services or Career Services).
What can you expect:
- Workshops: How do we support international incoming students? What can we learn from each other? We will not only share our perspectives and experiences, but also provide participants with an opportunity to exchange ideas and best practices.
- Campus tours
- Social evtens, including dinner
- Cultural events, including exploration of the beautiful Christmas Markets in Osnabrück and Münster
Workshop Sessions
The following topics will be available for a workshop during the staff week:
- Study opportunities for international visiting students
- Services for international visiting students
- Study programs and services for international degree-seeking students
- Student mobility management
In the application form, you will be able to select up to two workshops. Participation in one workshop is mandatory, a second one is optional. Please note that workshop 1 and 2 take place at the same time (Tuesday) and workshop 3 and 4 take place at the same time (Wednesday). Hence, the following workshop combinations are possible: 1 + 3, 1 + 4, 2 +3, 2+ 4.
Please note that the workshop topics may be subject to change. We may also need to cancel certain topics, if we do not receive enough applications.

In this workshop session we will talk about student mobility management at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. This includes:
- Erasmus cooperation management (e.g. EWP)
- Using the mobility software Mobility Online

Dates and Schedule
The Staff Week takes place from November 23-27, 2026.
Please take a look at the prelimilary schedule.
The language of communication will be English.
Please arrange your arrival for Sunday, November 22, 2026, as our program starts in the morning of November 23rd.
Our programs ends on Friday, November 27, 2026, at 12:00. If you want to departe on that day, please allow an additional hour for picking up your luggage at the hotel and getting to the train station.
When you prepare your travel and plan to fly to Germany, please note that the airport closest to Osnabrück (Flughafen Münster-Osnabrück: FMO) is not well connected to Osnabrück by the public transportation system. A taxi to Osnabrück costs approx. 90 Euro. Alternatively, you can take a train to Osnabrück from the international airport that you arrive, e.g. Frankfurt or Düsseldorf airport. Please check the website of the Germany train company, Deutsche Bahn (www.bahn.de), for connections and tickets.
Costs and Accommodation
There are various options for hotels or AirBnB in Osnabrück. Please book an accomodatin yourself.

For your orientation: Meeting points will either be downtown at the Caprivi campus or the Westerberg campus.
We recommend to book your accomodation as soon as possible, as there may be a higher demand during the Christmas Market period in November/December. If you want to book before we can confirm your place (after the application deadline in August), please check the cancellation policies of the hotels carefully.
We do not charge an application fee.
Travel costs, hotel accommodation and meals will have to be paid by the participants individually.
The program, including social and cultural events, will be offered by Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences free of charge.
Please check ERASMUS staff mobility funding with your home university. We can confirm ERASMUS staff mobility for training (not for teaching).
Application
To apply please fill in our online application form. The link will be published here in February. It will be open March 1 - August 1, 2026.
We will contact all participants after the application deadline. If the number of applications exceeds the number of available places, priority will be given to applicants from our partner universities and to those whose positions correspond with the workshops offered at our Staff Week.
