Music Education (B.A.) – Classical Music

Various concert series shape and frame the semester: university orchestra and choir concerts take place regularly – also in the auditorium with more than 500 seats. In addition, interesting concert tours are undertaken time and again.

The chamber concerts present the works developed during the semester. The concerts usually have a theme that the students can help decide. The focus might be on a composer, an era or a country, for example.

The StudyUp-Award traditionally takes place in the summer semester. It is held in two categories, chamber music and solo. The chamber music prize comes with prize money. The winner of the solo prize is invited to play a solo concerto with the university orchestra.

Podium evenings and semester recitals take place several times each semester. Here, students can present the results of their lessons and work, complete performance training and gain artistic experience.

We are pleased to regularly welcome artists and teachers from other universities as guests. This exchange in teaching gives students new impetus, allows them to deepen their skills and helps them build a network that extends beyond Osnabrück.
