Features of the degree program Nursing (dual)

The Nursing B.Sc. dual degree program is an eight-semester Bachelor's degree program, which is completed in conjunction with vocational schools and a clinic/nursing facility. The degree program aims to accompany training and provides students with a double degree: a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and depending on the choice, a professional qualification in healthcare and nursing, healthcare and pediatric nursing or geriatric nursing.

Thematically, the professional attitude to the health and the sustainable nursing of impaired people and those requiring care is treated both in the degree program and in the training. Thus, this content is conveyed both at the university as well as the cooperating vocational schools and practically applied in the training facility. Students attend the three learning venues in weekly blocks. Students must attend the university twice during the semester and each attendance period must be between two and four weeks long..

With the successful completion, graduates can work in nursing areas of the healthcare sector. Typical fields of activity include: primary nursing, care consulting, quality management, case management, support of patients’ relatives, nursing evaluation, interface management, new types of living arrangements, project management or evidence-based nursing.
