Social Work (B.A.)

Bachelor of Arts

Features of the degree program Social Work

The Bachelor degree program Social Work gives students the tools to analyze social problems and to plan, execute, and assess necessary solutions. In addition to the theoretical and methodological foundations of the science of Social Work, students are also instructed in the related fields of education, psychology, law, and social sciences.

Among the outstanding features of the degree program are its strong practical relevance and the intensive support given by the teaching staff. With two internships accompanying the study program and a practical scientific project, students can already make important contacts with potential employers during their studies.

Graduates of the degree program who wish to obtain state recognition must complete a one-year vocational internship following the study program, which is closely accompanied by the university.
