Features of the degree program

Electrical engineering is an integral part of daily life and has a profound effect on many areas of our society. Accordingly, its range of applications is highly diverse. This includes, among other things, electronic systems for human communication, applications in the automation of processes, and intelligent systems and machines promoting sustainable treatment of resources and energy. 

With the degree program in Electrical Engineering, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences offers practically oriented scientific training. Laboratory research sessions, project work, and practice phases give students the opportunity to put their newly acquired knowledge and abilities into practice and to expand on them. Students can choose between two fields: "Electronics and Communication" focuses on Internet and communication technologies and on modern digital systems. The subject area "Automation and Energy" is focused primarily on automation technology, power electronics, electrical machines, and electrical energy supply.
