Admission requirements

1. General university entry qualification
2. The ability to study in English demonstrated by the original or a certified copy of an
               internationally recognized language certificate which may not be older than 3 years:
               TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign language (internet-based), minimum score: 88
               TOEIC – Test of English for International communication, minimum score: 800
               CPE – Cambridge Proficiency, minimum grade: C
               CAE – Cambridge Advanced, minimum grade: B / C
               FCE – Cambridge First Certificate, minimum grade: A
               IELTS – International English Language Testing System, minimum grade: 6.5
               BEC 3 – Business English Certificate, minimum grade: B
               BEC 2 – Business English Certificate, minimum grade: A
3. Six-week commercial or business internship or vocational training. Due to the current so-called corona crisis, applicants for a study place in the winter semester 2020/21 only have to prove the six-week internship by the end of their fourth semester, i.e. it is not mandatory to complete this internship before the start of studies. [Note: Legally, this regulation is subject to the decisions still to be taken by the university committees.] 
4. Basic knowledge of the German language is required from international applicants (A1/A2).

Placement tests

Mathematics and a second foreign language (as a rule this is German)

Language of instruction

The language of instruction is English. Students may choose among the following for their second foreign language: German (for foreign students), French, Spanish, Russian or Chinese

Business management with marketing, logistics, human resources, controlling, private labor and business law, individually selectable area of specialization

Approx. 350 Euro semester fee per semester


There are more than 100 partner universities at which students spend their semester abroad.

Study abroad

A mandatory study semester abroad at a partner university or cooperating university is integrated in the 4th semester.
