Kurzbeschreibung

This module explores optimization of processes and the corresponding supportive tools. Aspects of sustainable prossesses in the food industry are in specific focus. Students are presented with tools for optimisation and apply them to practical case studies. Using digital systems, students develop and analyze processes, as well as different possibilties for their visualisation. They also calculate the benefit of a process optimization for the environment, society and supply chain.

Lehr-Lerninhalte

The module explores the following themes:

  1. The visualisation of processes - which tools are helpful?
  2. Aspects of sustainable processes - which aspects are have to be considered and analysed when shaping sustainable processes
  3. Optimization of processes - which tool can be used to optimize for efficient prcesses?
  4. Benefits of optimized processes - which benefits do optimized processes hold (for the environment, society, supply-chain etc.)?
  5. Change Management - how can changes be communicated, implemented and deemed successful?
