Kurzbeschreibung

Both, climate and natural resources like water, air, geomorphological formations and soils are essential for life on earth. The aim of this course is to give an overview about their interrelationships and their regulation as well as about environmental threats, pollution and the protection of natural resources. Sustainable land use and landscape planning have to consider not only climate change mitigation but also climate change adaptation. This module will include introductory lectures, seminaristic elements and a short field trip.

Lehr-Lerninhalte

  • Origin of raw material and environmental threats
  • Soil protection
  • Recycling (waste, soils, substrates, compost)
  • Provision with water and water protection
  • Land "consumption" and how it can be reduced
  • Climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies
