This module enables students to apply the subject-specific and interdisciplinary competences acquired in the course of their studies in a practical, professional environment (internship). The students use the competences and experiences gained to elaborate on a practical problem in writing and in a scientifc manner. 

• Organisation and development of the work process of the practical project (internship) in consultation with the supervising lecturer
• Independent academic report on a topic relevant to practice (written report)

Students who have successfully completed this module have subject and interdisciplinary knowledge and skills in order to bring together theory and practice related to event management and the event industry in a professional and articulated manner.

Students who have successfully completed this module can elaborate on recent research findings in event research and can transfer and apply these findings in practice.

• can communicate and cooperate efficiently and professionally with colleagues, other industry representatives and non-specialists.

Students who have successfully completed this module can critically reflect on their professional actions in relation to the expectations from the industry and society as well as related consequences.

The internship is closely connected to the bachelor thesis that the IEMS students write straight after their internship. During the internship the students are given the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge that they have learnt and acquired throughout their whole IEMS degree course.
