The module consists of theoretical and practical parts.
- Kurzbeschreibung
Medical training therapy (MTT) has a high status within physical therapy. The basis of a target-oriented and effective therapy is a training control oriented to the individual patient and a suitable assessment selection for the evaluation of physical parameters. In this module the basic principles of training control within MTT will be worked out and important assessment methods will be presented. Both fundamentals and assessment methods will be discussed and practically tested in a clinical context.

- Empfohlene Vorkenntnisse
Module "Fundamentals of Clinical Reasoning"
Module "Fundamentals of Neuroscience Neuromusculoskeletal Therapy"
- Wissensverbreiterung
Students who have successfully completed this module will be able to describe a therapeutic approach in the context of MTT in terms of its mode of action, pathophysiological background and evidence. The students are able to weigh different basic aspects of the control of a MTT and apply them situationally to individual patients. They can classify performance diagnostic test methods/assessments for selected neuromusculoskeletal complaints and differentiate.
- Wissensvertiefung
Students who have successfully studied this module can explain and characterize MTT rehabilitation methods and performance diagnostic test procedures and critically relate these methods and test procedures against the background of the patient's individual problem and the evidence. The students can base the different phases of training control on the therapy phases of physiotherapeutic treatment and use them to illustrate specific procedures. They integrate digital methods to support the entire therapy process, such as data processing routines and automated report creation.
- Wissensverständnis
The students who have successfully studied this module classify their knowledge of assessment procedures and their interpretation in complex therapy situations. They analyze the best possible training therapy management based on their knowledge and problem-solving strategies. In doing so, they reflect on the current evidence, the patient's individual ideas and requirements as well as their own experiences.
- Nutzung und Transfer
Students who have successfully studied this module use manual and cognitive skills to apply the assessment procedures they have learned to in daily practice on individual patients in both familiar and new situations and to implement them in a training therapy concept.
- Wissenschaftliche Innovation
Students who have successfully studied this module derive specific intervention plans with goals and methods that are based on the individual needs of their patients as well as on evidence-based information and are able to integrate complex assessment procedures into this process .
- Kommunikation und Kooperation
Students who have successfully studied this module describe the basic principles of MTT for their patients in daily practice at a simple level. They take into account current underlying theories and clinical patterns. They share current evidence with the therapeutic team and clearly communicate their reasons.
- Wissenschaftliches Selbstverständnis / Professionalität
The students who have successfully studied this module continue to develop into reflective practitioners in the therapeutic process and see targeted training management and critical assessment selection as an important professional resource that further develops therapeutic events and actions.
