Kurzbeschreibung

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is an important tool for modeling the characteristics of components under mechanical and thermal loading. Within this module especially the material properties and fracture mechanical aspects of loaded components are considered. Coupled thermal and structural analysis is also considered.

Lehrinhalte
  1. Continuum mechanical and heat transfer basic principles of finite element analysis
  2. Coupled (multiphysics) thermal and structural analysis, contact problems
  3. Application of material laws: elastic, hyperelastic, plastic and visco-elastic
  4. Parameters of linear elastic fracture mechanics and their evaluation: stress intensity factor, fracture driving force and J-integral
