Project description

Project description

The project "EduChance" is a joint research project with a core of six participants from Germany, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Spain, Slovakia and the United Kingdom. Up to 15 additional excellent researchers from Southeast and Central Eastern Europe will work together as a core group with a large number of associated researchers and transfer partners. The network partners have expertise in age and gender equality, integration of refugees in education, educational governance and public management of equality and diversity.

The network focuses on the topics of equality and fairness, integration of migrants and competitiveness and resilience of institutions in the field of education. To this end, it addresses the scientific question of which factors predict educational integration of persons with a migrant background in Europe and how European, national and local activities can influence these factors in an evidence-based manner. Individual and structural influencing variables will be shaped as a framework model of European educational integration, which in turn will form the basis for European application. To this end, the applicant's topic-specific network will be expanded and cooperation will be consolidated. The development of a knowledge transfer platform will be the basis for the exchange within the project as well as for the transfer in the planned EU project.
