International Accreditation

Team and Stakeholders

As a first step, the study program International Management B.A. was successfully granted EFMD Programme Accreditation in 2025 to achieve its long-term strategic goals of establishing a strong international positioning. International Management B.A. is a 6-semester, internationally oriented, English-language bachelor’s program that includes an integrated study semester abroad. The student groups are international in composition, and many visiting students join the program’s modules.

International Business and Management M.A. has become the second program to opt for EFMD Programme Accreditation. This 4-semester, English-language master’s program, which includes an optional semester abroad, is characterized by its international student body and strong practical focus.

Thus, both degree programs meet one of the basic requirements for international program accreditation: a clear international orientation.

However, an accreditation process is always teamwork. Therefore, several departments of the Faculty and on the university’s central level are involved in the project:

The team “International Accreditation” steers the process:

  • Academic Dean: Prof. Dr. Holger Sutschet
  • International Faculty Office (IFO): Sabine Kohlsaat (project manager), Nathalie Banehr
  • International Management B.A.: Prof. Dr. Kay Hofmann (Academic Program Director), Samantha Beyerlein-Drengk (Program Coordination)
  • International Business and Management M.A.: Prof. Dr. Kim Werner and Prof. Dr. Kai Griese (Academic Program Directors), Gita Lestari-Kötting (Programm Coordination)
  • WiSo-EquiS Team: Annika Morgret

For this purpose, the team works with stakeholders from the following areas and departments, amongst others:

  • Extended project team: WiSo-EquiS-Team (Development Quality in Studies and Teaching)
  • Dean's office of the Faculty
  • Professors and teaching staff of the programs International Management B.A. and International Business and Management M.A.
  • Students of the programs International Management B.A. and International Business and Management M.A.
  • International Commission of the Faculty
  • International Faculty Office (IFO)
  • Controlling department of the Faculty
  • The university’s reporting system
  • Center for International Students (CIS) and Center for International Mobility (CIM)
  • Registrar’s office
  • Communication department
  • Other departments depending on the process phase
