Structure of the program

The Business Information Systems postgraduate Master degree program comprises five semesters (120 ECTS) and focuses on information technology. The part-time program is characterized by intensive practical orientation and up-to-date course contents.

The degree program consists of 18 graded modules and the Master thesis. As the Business Information Systems Master degree program is targeted at employed persons, it offers a flexible, blended learning structure. The learning model includes the following elements:

  • attendance weeks at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences
  • accompanied, Internet-based learning (tele tutorials)
  • supported self-study

There are four attendances weeks in every semester where students are in direct touch with the lecturers and their fellow students. Exams are scheduled for the last attendance week in the semester. Between the attendance weeks, students are encouraged to use e-learning platforms to critically discuss and consolidate the acquired knowledge. While also studying on their own at home, students are supported through digital course materials (e.g. e-learning resources, cloud services, software licences).
