Erasmus+ Internships
in Europe and around the world
Erasmus Scholarship Program
The EU Higher Education Office in Osnabrück offers students, graduates, doctoral candidates, and university staff the opportunity to receive a grant for an internship at a company or organization through the European Union’s ERASMUS+ education program. Internships are available in all EU member states and EEA/EFTA countries, in the partner country Albania, and in some cases worldwide.
To help cover the additional costs of studying abroad, interns can apply to the EU University Office for an ERASMUS+ grant during the project period from June 1, 2025, to July 31, 2027.
Erasmus+ is the EU program for promoting education, vocational training, youth, and sports in Europe. The program’s priorities for 2021–2027 are social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life. Among other things, this program supports the mobility of students, graduates, and doctoral candidates who wish to complete an internship in another European or international country.
Students are eligible for Erasmus+ funding if...

- they have obtained their academic degree or have successfully completed all exams,
- the internship is completed within twelve months of their graduation.
Students and graduates receive...
- country-specific financial grants for their internship stay,

- support in preparing for and carrying out their stay abroad (cultural, linguistic, organizational),
- if applicable, an Erasmus+ funded online language course as part of the Online Language Support (OLS),
- if applicable, special grants for specific needs. (Social TopUp)
In total, students may receive funding for up to 36 months for their studies and/or internships:
- up to twelve months each for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs,
- up to 24 months for single-track programs (e.g., medicine, state examination, former diploma programs) plus an additional twelve months for doctoral studies,
- the funding may be divided and utilized multiple times within a study cycle (e.g., two periods of six months each).
- at least two months (at least 60 working days) and no more than twelve months
The Erasmus+ program is divided into projects. The funding amounts for the three country groups are determined by the NA DAAD at the national level to ensure fairness and transparency for students.
