Landscape Architecture (M.Eng.)

Program structure

Structure of the program

The structure of the Master degree program enables students, dependent on their preferences, to develop their Bachelor competences into a wide-ranging qualification or specialize in individual subject areas.

The Master degree program starts with a landscape architecture project. In a joint block week and subsequent seminar, students get the opportunity to reflect the specific expertise derived from their previous degrees and make it available in a broader landscape architecture scope. The interdisciplinary, first semester modules provide the scientific foundations and different perspectives in the field of landscape architecture. Individual specializations are possible by choosing from a comprehensive selection of electives in the first and second semester. These can be further enhanced through a research project in the third semester, followed by the Master thesis in the fourth semester.

The electives catalog also includes legal, technological-analytical, communication and economical-structural subjects to achieve the above-mentined qualification objectives. The international workshop module in cooperation with students from international partner universities is offered alternatively at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences or abroad. The three specializations each include four elective modules and one project.
