Depending on the Master specialisation, completed Bachelor degree in agricultural, food, or nutrition science with a focus on economics  (e.g. Agriculture, Horticulture, Industrial Engineering and Management in the Agri- and Hortibusiness, Food Technology, Food Chemistry, Ecotrophology) and related degree programs

Vocational placement / practical phase of studies

No vocational placement required; relevant professional experience is considered in the selection process; the project or Master thesis phase in the 3rd and 4th semester can be completed at a company, at a research institute, or abroad.

Learning achievements / core competencies

Professional and methodological specialization in one of the profiles listed below, theory/practice transfer, management competence, interdisciplinary thinking along the agri-food value chain.

Specialization options

Optional specialization in one of these topics:
- production systems and process technology
- media and CSR communication
- product marketing
- business management, accounting and controlling
 

Professional fields of activity

Potential activities in the entire agricultural and nutrition industry including supply sectors in accordance with the competencies acquired in the master program. Particular suitability for management positions at the interfaces of traditional disciplines (e.g. economics/technology, technology/biology). R&D work with a high need for methodological knowledge, integration of various players, and sound knowledge of the industry.
