Program structure
The Business Administration in Healthcare Bachelor degree program is a business administration program which specializes in health and hospital management. It is comprised of six semesters and qualifies for management positions in health care organizations, particularly hospitals, health insurances, rehabilitation clinics, nursing homes, consultancies, pharmaceutical companies as well as associations and authorities in the sector.
Besides general business subjects, students take health-sector related courses already in the first two semesters.
Elective courses
The three compulsory electives in the third and fifth semester enable the students to acquire special expertise for their future career in individual professional fields. The electives include general business as well as sector-specific specializations and a multitude of individual and language modules.
Strong practical orientation
The study program is characterized by strong practical orientation. In the fourth semester, the students do a 16-week internship project at a hospital or another institution in the health sector. In the sixth semester, they complete a management project and their bachelor thesis.
Semester abroad
A voluntary semester abroad can be completed in the third semester. The 16-week internship project can be done abroad, too.
