Hünenweg: A cultural and historical hiking trail that passes impressive megalithic tombs and extends all the way to Osnabrück.

Bourtanger Moor: A fascinating hike through the moorland with interesting information stations on the formation and history of the region.

Hümmling Nature Park: In the nature park east of the Ems, 15 Hümmling trails ranging from seven to 24 kilometers are waiting to be discovered by you.

Ems Cycle Route: One of the most beautiful cycle routes in the region runs along the Ems. The route between Lingen and Meppen offers idyllic river landscapes and numerous places to stop for a break.

Hase-Ems Tour: This circular tour connects Lingen, Meppen, and Haselünne and leads through varied landscapes with meadows, forests, and waterways.

Grafschaft Bentheim Route: Perfect for a longer day trip – from Lingen to Nordhorn and on to Bad Bentheim with its imposing castle.

There are numerous exciting places to discover around Lingen. One highlight is Clemenswerth Castle in Sögel with its baroque castle complex and unique star-shaped structure.

If you are interested in the history of the region, you should visit the Emsland Moormuseum in Groß Hesepe. Here you can learn more about the fascinating moorland and life in the past.

Bremen: If you want to experience maritime flair and Hanseatic history, Bremen is the place to be. The city delights visitors with its historic Schnoorviertel district, the Weser promenade Schlachte, and a diverse cultural offering.

Emden: Located directly on the North Sea, Emden is the perfect destination for anyone who wants to breathe in the fresh sea air. In addition to the harbor and the Kunsthalle Emden art gallery, numerous tea rooms and East Frisian serenity invite you to linger.

Enschede (NL): Just a short drive away is the Dutch city of Enschede, which is particularly known for shopping and its relaxed lifestyle. The large weekly market and the many bars and cafés in the city center are especially popular with students.

Osnabrück: The city is home to Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and a place of study that combines a young, lively atmosphere with historical charm and lots of green space.
