Lecture hall of the future

With the Knowledge eXchange Platform (KX), we as a university want to meet the needs of our students and lecturers. We want to exploit the opportunities for an atmosphere that promotes knowledge and learning, networking and international collaboration and modern university didactics.

The lecture halls of the future are not merely rooms with special equipment (see below). They depict our understanding of the concept of our future-oriented vision in terms of innovative teaching and learning experiences. They are intended to support hybrid and flexible teaching and offer fundamental opportunities for a digital transformation. With the establishment of hybrid teaching, we offer a contemporary and flexible form of interaction between lecturers and students. HyFlex Teaching combines synchronous and asynchronous teaching and offers opportunities for both remote learning and traditional face-to-face interaction.

Inverted Classroom (1)

First alone then together

  • Students learn the content provided digitally on their own. The face-to-face event is used to consolidate the content.
  • Students work on the content independently of time and place, individually, self-directed and at their own pace using digital learning materials.

Hybrid course (2)

Synchronous connection of different learning locations

  • Students can take part in a course online if required while others are present in person.
  • Hybrid guest lecture: inclusion of external experts such as representatives of companies and other practice-relevant organizations

Global Classroom

Learning together worldwide

  • Cooperative courses with universities all over the world possible
  • Gain international experience through virtual mobility
  • Simply connect international participants to the event
