Center for Multimedia and IT applications (ZeMIT)
Faculty of Business Management and Social Sciences
Equipment
Our IT rooms are equipped with modern technology to support the teaching and appications of different IT tools.
Teachers can work with two beamer projections in parallel, e.g., to explain complex structures on a whiteboard while showing an application and its usage on the PC.
Students can work independently with current software environments that are also used in the same form in companies.
ZeMIT operates virtual desktops with which students can use the university's IT environment from home. The applications from the PC pools are available there in a virtual environment, so that students can work on tasks from the courses from home.

Direct feedback from the lecture hall is a consistent further development of electronic exercises. They result from the requirement that instructors want to include students' opinions or obtain feedback on comprehension already during a course. In this way, they can react directly and do not have to wait for the evaluation of exercises and until the next course, as is usual in the classical exercise mode.
In cooperation with the eLearning Competence Center (eLCC), ZeMIT is in charge of Audience Response Systems, which enable direct feedback from students during lectures.
ZeMIT maintains an extensive server landscape, whether for conducting online surveys, communicating via video conferencing, or various applications in the research field.
ZeMIT oversees a video studio at the faculty where lecture recordings, video conferences and other video projects can be created and executed using modern audio and video technology. We offer extensive assistance in the conception and creation of video formats, from the initial idea to the finished product.
