Brief description

Due to climate change, the frequency of heavy rainfall events and dry periods has increased. These changes have a particular impact in high-density urban areas because precipitation water is not sufficiently retained and is no longer available for cooling in the dry areas.

Water management changes in conjunction with increased greening should contribute to improving the urban climate and improving the supply to the groundwater reservoir.

In addition to dealing with precipitation water, the project also addresses issues of green management, soil improvement, soil conditions and aspects related to the microclimate.

The aim is to combine water management and vegetation management measures.

Students should be enabled to develop complex planning concepts for the improvement of the blue-green infrastructure.
