Content

Based on the technical content learned in the first four semesters and the methods trained in the module "Scientific Working and Communication", teams of students work through concrete practical issues from the industry and work together with companies / institutions from the food industry.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge Broadening
The students, who studied this module successfully, have an integrated knowledge about the field of expertise that is dealt within the project.
Knowledge Deepening
They have an updated and deepened knowledge about the project problem and the operational requirements to solve the problem.
Instrumental Skills and Competences
They are able to define questions out of the main activities of industrial engineers as projects, to organize independently and to work in a team. They apply modern methods of project management efficiently.
Communicative Skills and Competences
The students, who studied this module successfully, examine the concepts and solutions of their project critically and economically. They communicate with companies on an adequate level and they are able to present the project results professionally.
Systemic Skills and Competences
They are able to adapt an economically justified solution to the specific requirements of the participating food business and to present technical and economic consequences suitable to the company.

Seminar, consultation and supervision from two examiners (preferably one person from the industry) in the form of project- concomitant meetings, coaching
