Mission Statement

In order to be able to carry out successful media work and to be able to recognise and analyse public opinion conveyed by the media, profound knowledge of the basics of the public sphere and modern journalism as well as their characteristics in different media systems are indispensable prerequisites. Students should gain an overview of organisational structures, economic foundations and market developments of both print and AV and online media. Through planned and careful media reception, they should recognise current developments.
