Brief description

The Role Work II module consists of the courses Monologue Work (Musical) II and Acting (Musical) II.

Monologue Work II:
The individual lessons in monologue work begun in the third year of training are continued in individual lessons with a change of teacher where possible, in order to increase the range of audition roles or roles for the final examination and to further develop the students in terms of their acting range.

Acting II:
The Acting II course serves to support and train the Musical Lab - Agency Performance module (see module description: Musical Lab - Agency Performance) and is therefore only offered in the seventh semester.

Teaching and learning outcomes

After the focus in the third year of training was particularly on role selection, in which students were able to devote themselves to new forms and characters that are more remote from them, it is now a matter of deepening proven forms and working on roles that primarily serve casting ideas and strongly correspond to their own playful type.
At the end of their training, the aim here is to use the appropriate knowledge to re-sense and deepen the possibilities offered to students by their original talent and to make them more repeatable.

Overall workload

The total workload for the module is 150 hours (see also "ECTS credit points and grading").
