Knowledge Broadening

Students who have successfully completed this module have an overview of the technical, organisational and communicative requirements for carrying out a research project,
 in an international context.

Knowledge deepening

Students deepen their subject-related and methodological knowledge regarding a complex task within the
field of landscape architecture.

Knowledge Understanding

Through the project abroad, students reflect on how approaches to knowledge and subject matter vary
according to the cultural context of study. In addition to gaining knowledge of objectives and facts,
students also acquire hands-on practical experience independently managing project tasks in the field.

Application and Transfer

In the course of completing their project task, students draw connections between their previous
coursework and the modules they complete abroad. They apply the practical self-management and
project-organizational skills and specialist knowledge aquired in their study program to the project abroad
and reflect the use of their knowledge and skills across cultural and institutional contexts.

Academic Innovation

Students develop and complete unique research questions and/or project tasks. They learn to
understand and plan project processes through immersive experiential learning.

Communication and Cooperation

Students can communicate with an expert audience about their subject matter using the technical
language and taking cultural contexts into account.

Academic Self-Conception / Professionalism

Students come to understand themselves as memebers of a global community of researchers and
practitioners collectively working on the challenges of landscape architecture.
