Brief description

The Master's thesis forms the conclusion of the degree programme. By independently working on an exemplary scientific problem from the professional field and the written and oral presentation of the results, the student demonstrates the achievement of the educational objectives of the study programme. The solution of the problem requires the application of the subject-specific and interdisciplinary learning outcomes of the study programme. The student demonstrates that he/she is able to apply his/her knowledge and understanding to hitherto unknown questions that clearly go beyond the actual subject boundaries, to develop solutions to problems within the framework of research-oriented projects and to defend them in a subject discussion. To demonstrate the ability to engage in scientific discourse, the work is supplemented by seminar courses and a concluding colloquium.
