Mission Statement

International business activities are always subject to a legal framework. This course familiarizes students with legal issues that arise specifically in the context of international business transactions, like international sales activities or foreign investments.

  2. Law of conflicts
  3. International sales law, in particular the CISC
  4. INCOTERMS
  5. Relevance of documents in international trade
  6. Handling of transaction risks in international trade
  7. International Business forms, multinational enterprises
  8. International dispute settlement
Learning Outcomes

Knowledge Broadening
Students who successfully complete this module are are familiar with relevant issues of international business transactions, in particular international trade.
Knowledge Deepening
After completing this module students have a broad knowledge of the basic relevant legal framework of international business.
Instrumental Skills and Competences
Students are capaple of using their knowledge of international business law to assess practical issues and identify potential risks.
Communicative Skills and Competences
Students are able to communicate with lawyers and other specialists on a professional level with regard to topics of international business law.
Systemic Skills and Competences
Students are applying their knowledge to practical cases and are capable of solving certain legal issues.
