  • Fundamentals of electrical engineering for direct and alternating current (single-phase and multi-phase systems)
  • Characteristics of systems for generating electrical energy from renewable sources (in particular photovoltaics, wind, hydro and biomass)
  • Structure and function of components in electrical power supply networks (in particular generators, transformers, overhead lines, cables and compensation equipment)
  • System operation of AC electrical networks (in particular the importance of reactive power for voltage maintenance, fundamentals of power/frequency control in interconnected networks)
