Mission Statement

In the project work at the beginning of the master's program, the foundations for the planning work of a landscape architect are imparted and presented on the basis of an exemplary complex task within a project area. The module takes the form of a one-week workshop phase, which usually takes place at the project location, and a development phase in which the ideas and concepts are detailed and presented.

    1.3 Comparison with example projects
    1.4 Brainstorming
    1.5 Consideration process versus alternative concepts
    1.6 Presentation based on sketches / working model in the context of an intermediate presentation

    2.1 Presentation of the concept
    2.2 Presentation of a time sequence for realization
  • 2.3. Visualization with different media
  • 3. Final presentation

Students who have successfully completed this module know the basic principles of project work in complex tasks.

The students who have successfully completed this module have a comprehensive and integrated knowledge of most of the core areas and the fundamental facets, boundaries, terminology and conventions of the discipline.

Mode of Delivery

The project is carried out as part of a workshop at the beginning of the semester, usually on site at the project area, and in a follow-up phase at the university. In the course of the excursion students get to know the project-related framework conditions and possibly also comparable projects The work is done as group work.
