Mission Statement

In the design of open spaces, especially of gardens, plants are the essential, atmosphere-determining elements. The combination of spatial-functional design and detailed planting determine the long-term success of a project. In this module, the entire project sequence is to be practiced from the first customer contact to the advising of the maintenance work with a focus on the plants. In group work, students should formulate their own planting ideas, discuss and illustrate them, implement these ideas in drafts and planting plans, reconcile aesthetic and functional aspects with cost issues and maintenance requirements, as well as make and present plans in a subject-specific way (signatures, layout, use of EDP).
