Brief description

Mastering the fundamentals of mathematics is an essential part of an engineer's knowledge. Basic mathematical knowledge, skills and abilities are taught. The subject-specific application of these methods is demonstrated and practised using examples.

Teaching and learning outcomes

1. real numbers and functions

2. elements of differential calculus and integral calculus

3. elements of vector calculus and geometry

4. linear systems of equations

Overall workload

The total workload for the module is 150 hours (see also "ECTS credit points and grading").
