The Path to Getting a Teaching Assignment

There are several ways to obtain a teaching assignment at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences:

Lecturers carry out the tasks assigned to them independently. They are responsible for designing the content and methodology of their courses in accordance with the specifications in the teaching assignment, taking into account the examination and study regulations.
In addition to teaching courses, the tasks of lecturers include all associated activities, such as preparing and following up on courses, preparing, accepting and correcting examinations and participating in meetings. This must be taken into account in the expected workload.

Remuneration for teaching at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences varies according to the scope and type of the teaching assignment. Lecturers receive a predetermined flat fee for teaching assignments. This flat fee covers the delivery of individual courses (course preparation, exam preparation, and, if necessary, repeat exams) according to the faculty’s course schedule, as well as the administration of up to 35 graded and ungraded exams.
