Research funding by the State of Lower Saxony
Funded by the State Government
The State of Lower Saxony promotes research at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in many ways. For example, the state and Volkswagen Foundation 2012 established professorships with research focuses at universities of applied sciences for the first time in Lower Saxony.
With the state funds from the so-called Lower Saxony VW Advance six research professorships were established in Osnabrück in total, covering thematically diverse areas such as "Importance of natural revegetation procedures for the renaturalization of urban industrial habitats", "Municipal planning and participation models of inclusive education between school and children and youth services" as well as "Driver assistance systems for mobile work equipment".
Large, interdisciplinary projects in the research fields of e-health, energy systems, management and law, midwife science or material design and material reliability could be launched thanks to state support.
