Research funded by the Federal Government
Funded by the Federal Government
Through funds from the Federal Government, a central building block for successful research at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences is in place. Different lines of the funding of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) form the basis of the research for many scientists. The Federal Ministries of Food and Agriculture, Justice and Consumer Protection and Economy and Energy area currently among the sponsors of research at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.
To name an example: The project "FOAMjection" is supported in the funding line "FH profUnt - Research at universities of applied sciences with companies". Here, scientists from the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences examine which properties are present in different compounds of particle foams with compact plastics. For many companies, such as in the automotive industry, these material pairings are of great interest.
The importance of the BMBF support is shown, as an example, in the 2012-founded cooperative Forschungskolleg FamiLe, "Research on family health during the lifetime", at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and the University of Witten/Herdecke.
The research college started in June 2015 with twelve new doctoral candidates and two new post-doctoral students in a second funding phase.
