Research and Ethics at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences

Ethics Committee of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences

The Ethics Committee of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences supports its researchers and scientists by providing advice with regard to ethical and privacy aspects of research projects. The responsibility of researchers and scientists for the research project and its implementation is unaffected.

The Ethics Committee acts at the request of researchers and scientists, but only assesses requests from the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. For the application, the Commission has adopted the following resolutions, which are communicated in writing:

  • Approval of application,
  • Re-editing/re-working is requested,
  • Rejection of the application.

The decision "Approval of request" confirms that an ethical and data privacy consultation on the present application has been done by the Ethics Commission before the start of the project. This decision can, for example, be enclosed if required when submitting the researcher's own contributions within the framework of scientific conferences.

Further information is contained in the "Regulation for the establishment and on the proceedings of a commission for ethics at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences (Ethics Committee)". The order can be found in the OSCA Information Center (website only available in German) under Research.
