Facilities to support research as well as knowledge and technology transfer
The vice presidents for Research, Transfer and the Promotion of Young Professional Talent, Prof. Dr. Bernd Lehmann, is responsible for the transfer of knowledge and technology, the EU University Office, the doctoral program, the internal funding of research and the Ethics Commission.

The EU University Office Osnabrück (website only available in German) is the central information hub with a complete range of scientific services for all scientists and academics and students of the universities in Osnabrück and Vechta. The EU University Office provides a team of specialists with many years of experience in the European funding landscape.
The Science to Business GmbH - Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences (website only available in German) bundles the various activities of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in the field of technology and knowledge transfer and should broaden and enhance it further. Its task is to develop the entire scientific, technological and technical potential of the university including the infrastructure - for business, administration and society in accordance with the needs of the market. At the same time, the competence profile of the university as a "University of Applied Sciences" is honed and turned into immediate benefits for the customers.
The Tranfer and Innovation Management is a joint facility of the Osnabrück University and the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.
It advises and supports all aspects relating to contacts between science and industry, events, start-up issues and contract research.
The Research and Cooperation Service advises and supports academics and scientists in all aspects relating to research projects. It offers support in the search for promotional programs and partners and in aspects relating to formalities and applications. Moreover the service advises regarding project fundings and doctorate.
