HOW TO GET TO OSNABRUECK
Airports that can be accessed conveniently are Muenster/Osnabrueck, Bremen, Hannover, Hamburg, Duesseldorf and Frankfurt.
The nearest airport to Osnabrueck is FMO ("Flughafen Münster/Osnabrück"), which ist situated in Greven (about 30 km away from Osnabrueck). There is a regular bus shuttle service to Osnabrueck (line X150). The journey takes approximately 40 min. and costs EUR 10.00 per person. The bus shuttle operates from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm. It brings you right to the city center of Osnabrueck, where you get off at "Heger Tor". You must inform the bus driver about your stop request, when getting on the bus. The "Steigenberger Hotel Remarque" and the "Walhalla Romantik Hotel" are within walking distance from the stop "Heger Tor".

City Aiport Bremen
The second closest airport is City Aiport Bremen, which is situated about 120 km away from Osnabrueck. You can easily get to Osnabrueck by using public transport. The tramway (line 6, direction: "Universität") laeaves every 10 min. (fare: EUR 2.50, cash payment in the tramway) and takes you to the central station ("Bremen Hauptbahnhof"). Operating hours are from 4:30 am to 0:35 am. All trains run directly to Osnabrueck with no changes.
Long distance fast trains (IC and EC) depart Bremen central station for Osnabrueck central station ("Osnabrueck Hauptbahnhof") every 60 min. from 5:40 am (6:39 on Sundays) to 11:44 pm (standard fare, 2nd class: EUR 28.00).

You can easily reach Osnabrueck by using public transport. The tramway (line S5, direction: "Hameln"), located in Terminal C, runs from 3:35 am until 1:05 am every 30 min. and takes you directly to Hannover central station. It takes about 15 minutes.
Trains (RE, IC) between Hanover central station ("Hannover Hauptbahnhof") and Osnabrueck central station ("Osnabrück Hauptbahnhof") operate from 5:09 am until 10:50 pm every hour. The journey takes about 1 and a half hours, and all trains run directly to Osnabrueck with no changes.
On this route German Railways ("Deutsche Bahn") offer a City ticket, which includes tramway plus train connection to Osnabrueck (standard fares from EUR 29.00 (RE) to EUR 32.00 (IC, 2nd class)). The City ticket is available at the ticket vending machine in Terminal C as well as on the Internet.
It is also possible to buy separate tickets for tramway and long distance fast train connections. Tramway tickets are available at the ticket vending machine in Terminal C. You must stamp your tramway ticket before you get on the tramway! One-way to Hannover central station currently costs about EUR 3.10 per person.

With its two railway stations, Duesseldorf Airport offers you a comfortable alternative to travel by car. Please choose "Düsseldorf Airport Station" ("Düsseldorf Flughafen"), which is located at the eastern end of the airport site. From the Terminal the Sky train, a fully automatic cable railway, will take you straight to the station building. The ride on the Sky Train is free.
Trains (RE, WFB, IC and EC) for Osnabrueck main station ("Osnabrueck Hauptbahnhof") depart several times an hour via Duisburg main station ("Duisburg Hauptbahnhof"), Dortmund main station and/or Münster (Westf) main station, and you have to change trains one or two times. The average travel time is two hours. The trains operate from 5:40 am (6:39 on Sundays) to 11:44 pm (standard fare, 2nd class: EUR 38.00). Tickets are available in the station.

The suburban rail network ("S-Bahn") line S1 operates every 10 minutes between Hamburg Airport ("Hamburg Flughafen") and Hamburg main station ("Hamburg Hauptbahnhof"), a journey of only 25 minutes. The Hamburg Airport S-Bahn station is situated directly in front of the terminals.
Long distance fast trains (IC, EC, HKX and ICE) depart Hamburg central station for Osnabrueck central station ("Osnabrueck Hauptbahnhof") every 60 min. from 4:42 am (5:41 on Sundays) to 10:46 pm. The journey takes about two and a half hours, and all trains run directly to Osnabrueck with no changes. At night-time buses operate between Hamburg Airport and Hamburg central station.
On this route German Railways ("Deutsche Bahn") offer a City ticket, which includes suburban train plus train connections to Osnabrueck (standard fare, 2nd class: EUR 50.00)). Tickets can be purchased on the Internet.

The airport has two train stations. The long-distance train station is located on Level 3 of the AIRail Terminal. Information and tickets are available in the DB TravelCenter, open daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. Tickets are also available from the machines in the long-distance train station, and they can be purchased using an EC debit card or a credit card.
Long distance fast trains (IC and ICE) for Osnabrueck main station ("Osnabrueck Hauptbahnhof") depart several times an hour. The trains operate from 3:41 am to 11:38 pm, and either run directly to Osnabrueck or via Dortmund/Duesseldorf.
Tip: Choose a direct connection to Osnabrueck, trains (IC or ICE) depart every 60 min. (standard fare, 2nd class: EUR 80.00). The average travel time is four hours.

The historic railway station is within 10 minutes from the city. Public buses depart from plattform 1, which is located in front of the central station building. A one-way ticket costs EUR 2.50 (cash payment on the bus).
Please notice: City tickets of German Railways are not valid for Osnabrueck public transport.
In oder to get to "Steigenberger Remarque Hotel" take bus lines R31 (direction: "Heger Friedhof") or 33 (direction: "Attersee"). Get off at "Heger Tor" and follow the street in driving direction for about 200 meters. Then cross the street.
To "Walhalla Romantik Hotel" take any bus to "Nikolaizentrum". Follow the street in driving direction, then turn right. Turn left into "Bierstraße" and follow the street for 150 meters.
