INTERNATIONAL STUDY PROGRAM: INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY IN ENGINEERING AND ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING
The International Study Program is a six-week-long, intensive and interdisciplinary program in the areas of engineering, agriculture and planning. Since 2006, it has been offered in cooperation with the University of Florida (UF), USA, as a Study Abroad option for UF students. However, the program is open to students of other universities as well, and German students are also invited to participate. It takes place at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences each summer semester in May and June.
The program is a great opportunity for students to combine practice-oriented studies with an interesting cultural experience and to receive 10 ECTS Credit Points (6 UF Credit Points) in a short period of time, allowing them to pursue other activities, like internships, during the regular semester.
The academic coordinators of the International Study Program are Professor Dirk Junker (Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Landscape Architecture) and Prof. Dr. Svea Petersen (Faculty of Engineering and Computer Sciences) at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.
