In order to enrol at Fachhochschule Osnabrück students have to pay tuition (Studienbeitrag) and semester fees (Semesterbeitrag):

tuition:

500,00 Euro per semester

semester fees:

approx. 230,00 Euro per semester (it changes each semester and it is lower for students enrolled at the Lingen campus of FH Osnabrück)

the semester fees comprise:

the administrative fee (75,00 Euro)

the semester ticket

the fee for the 'Studentenwerk'

the fee for the Student Union (Allgemeiner Studierendenausschuss - AStA)

Under certain conditions, international students and scholarship holders are exempt from tuition and semester fees:

Guest students from universities with which Fachhochschule Osnabrück has signed a cooperation agreement do not have to pay either tuition or semester fees. This is also true for students who come to FH Osnabrueck within the framework of the ERASMUS programme (ERASMUS bilateral agreement between FH Osnabrück and home university).

Guest students, who come as a 'Free-Mover' from a university with wich FH Osnabrück has not signed a cooperation agreement, have to pay full tuition and semester fees.

Students who receive a scholarship which is mainly financed by the German state (for instance a DAAD scholarship) are exempt from tuition but have to pay part of the semester fee (semester fee except administrative fee).
